Newport Beach is approximately 40 square miles, with about 22 square miles of water. Areas officially incorporated into Newport Beach include Corona del Mar, Balboa Island, Newport Coast, San Joaquin Hills, Balboa Peninsula, and most recently Santa Ana Heights.

Climate:
Average daily temperature during the summer is 80 degrees, and even winter temperatures are mild, usually in the mid-60’s. Evening temperatures rarely fall below 50 degrees all year. Average winter rainfall is close to 10 inches.

Back Bay:
Back Bay ecological reserve is approximately 800 acres of coastal wetlands and one of the few remaining estuaries (where fresh and salt water meet) in Southern California. A great place for nature hikes and bird watching, as well as bike and running trails.
Newport Harbor:
Touted as one of the finest small boat harbors in the world, Newport harbor is home base to over 9000 vessels. The luxury Newport Harbor homes boast some of the most beautiful views imaginable. Beaches:
